Mrs. Ashley McCrary is excited to welcome students and families to the GPA family as she begins her 14th year in education and her first year teaching 7th-grade science. A Greenville, South Carolina native, she graduated from Wade Hampton High School before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from North Greenville University in 2012 and a Master of Education with a concentration in Literacy from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2024.

Mrs. McCrary is passionate about science and the hands-on learning experiences it provides, and she is dedicated to creating a positive, engaging classroom where students are encouraged to explore, question, and grow. She believes there is no more rewarding career than teaching!

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. McCrary enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sweet daughters. She also enjoys traveling, watching sunsets, exercising, following and playing sports, playing pranks and cutting up, and making memories with family and friends.

Mrs. McCrary looks forward to partnering with students and families to make this school year an exciting, meaningful, and successful one.
